An experienced litigator, Mark graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of British Columbia in 2006 and was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2009. Mark has conducted successful trials in the BC Provincial Court and BC Supreme Court, as well as successful appeals before the BC Court of Appeal involving such matters as changes to parenting time, retroactive child support, variations to spousal support, and property division. Mark was previously a co-presenter with Dr. Gordon Cochrane of continuing legal education seminars relating to the cross-examination of psychological and health care experts. Mark has also been a faculty member at Kwantlen Polytechnic University for almost 25 years.

JENNIFA JAMES

Jennifa graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, minoring in International Relations. She was awarded a scholarship to attend the University of Birmingham in the UK and graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) in 2007. She completed her Certificate of Qualification with the Federation of Law Societies of Canada in 2010 and was admitted to the New York State Bar in 2011. Jennifa worked for FortisBC drafting Memorandums of Understanding and land agreements before working as an Employment Relations Consultant for mid-size corporations. Jennifa articled at a boutique family law firm in Kitsilano, gaining experience in both litigation and collaborative practice, before joining Mark at Waterfront Family Law in April 2022 and being called to the British Columbia Bar in September 2022. Jennifa works as co-counsel with Mark on litigation files, including representing clients at case conferences, hearings and trials, and assisting at mediations and arbitrations.
